Getting Started
picoVNC is a one-click front-end for the brilliant tightVNC Server written by Constantin Kaplinsky. It allows you to painlessly remote control a client's machine, without the need to guide the target user through a complete VNC installation.

- Step 1: Install UltraVNC on your local machine, and start the viewer in "listenning mode" via the "UltraVNC Viewer" group in the start menu
- Step 2: Ensure your listening port is open and Port Forwarded on your router (TCP/5500 is the default, but this can be changed at step 3).
- Step 3: Generate the executable file (and pin code) for your client by visiting this link and filling out the simple form
- Step 4: Point your client's computer to http://rescue.picovnc.com, get them to enter their pincode and run the file when prompted. Run as administrator in Windows Vista!
You've now successfully established a remote viewing session, without the need for lengthy configuration!
